Meet Your Host
Bruce Parker, a full-time, 22-year resident of Alaska, has been guiding in Alaska for over 20 years, guiding all over much of the state, with 18 years in Alaska’s Inside Passage. Originally from remote Montana, farming, ranching, and guiding, Bruce has a full lifetime career of guiding and having the perspective to provide the finest in quality and expertise for exciting, fun, quality adventure.

Notes and Facts from the Captain
Ninety-five percent of Alaska’s Panhandle, also known as Southeast Alaska, is covered by the Tongass National Forest, the world’s last largest, fairly intact temperate rainforest, containing 17 million acres, or over 26,000 square miles.
Its western shore, or border, is characterized by an archipelago of hundreds of islands that increase its size by almost twice, being land and ocean.
The variety of wildlife here is phenomenal including but not limited to brown bear, sea otters, eagles, black bear, whale, salmon, Sitka deer, mountain goats, orcas, puffins, sea lions, seals, all sorts of sea birds and waterfowl, wolf, moose, land otters, mink, marten, trout, porpoises, etc.
Parker Guide Service, providing excursions throughout SE Alaska since 1990, has the knowledge, experience, and accommodations to provide you with the finest in service and quality trips. We have used a 60’ cruiser for most of these years. In August 2007, we updated our vessel to the Alaskan Harvest, a custom built 80’ luxury cruiser.
It is our experience that there are few of this size cruisers available taking only small groups of 6 guests. We specialize in getting you up close and personal with S.E. Alaska, something you won’t find on a larger group based vessel and cruise tours. We give you a very intimate experience. Exclusive cruise tours are available for your specific group. Or you can share with others and bond with new found acquaintances.
We have five separate private guest cabins with space for 1 to 3 in each cabin, depending on your group. Cabins have private showers, toilets, and sinks.
Trip dates, arrivals and departures, are about the only portions of your trip that are fixed. As we, for the most part, let our guest interests steer each specific trip. While cruising, we will always tend to stop and watch sea life we encounter, i.e. whales, sea lions, etc. We like to keep approximately half our trip time cruising and the other engaging in activities of our guests' choice. We aim to fulfill the needs and desires of each guest on these excursions.
